Our June speaker is Shanna Welsh-Levin, Senior Counsel at SoCal Realty Law, APC, and a member of our bar association, who returns to provide us with an Update on Landlord-Tenant Laws & Legal Issues to include recent changes.

ARIEL J. SABBAN will present "STRATEGIC LAWSUITS AGAINST PUBLIC PARTICIPATION (“SLAPP”)," in a program addressing SLAPP lawsuits, which plaintiffs often use strategically to silence their critics through litigation, and which abridge defendants' constitutional rights of free speech and petition to government for redress of grievances.

Mr. Majchrzak, a legal ethicist, civil litigator, and California State Bar certified specialist (legal malpractice law), will present: "Sharing (Fees) and Caring (for Funds Held in Trust)."

Swafford,  Ann Kinsey Schu, and Sara Pike, who will collectively present a program on “Recent Developments in Probate and Trust Law, and Estate Planning in 2025 (in light of planned and anticipated changes in pertinent Tax Laws).”

We are very pleased to have Attorney, Mediator, Arbitrator & Referee, MONTY A. McINTYRE, Esq., returning again to present our members with an updated program about “IMPORTANT NEW CIVIL CASES PUBLISHED IN 2024.”

We are very pleased to have ROBERT A. SCHAPIRO, Dean and C. Hugh Friedman Professor of Law at the University of San Diego School of Law, as our speaker for this event.

We are very pleased to have as our July speaker, the Honorable Dana M. Sabraw, Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, who will provide our members with an "Update on the California Southern District Court."

We are very pleased to have as our February speaker, civil trial attorney DEBORAH A. WOLFE, Wolfe Legal Solutions PC, who will address our members on:  “REPORTING REQUIREMENTS FOR LAWYERS UNDER RPC 8.3.”

Please calendar our upcoming MCLE lunchtime program on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 12:00pm, at the Living Room Coffeehouse & Bistro, 1205 Prospect Street in La Jolla.
