Do I get MCLE credit for attending a meeting?
Yes. The La Jolla Bar Association is an approved MCLE provider. A different speaker is scheduled for each monthly meeting on a current legal subject and all attendees receive one hour of MCLE credit for each MCLE presentation. Members can satisfy State Bar MCLE requirements, including the State Bar mandated ethics, bias and substance abuse subjects, by attending La Jolla Bar Association meetings.
Many of our members help meet their MCLE requirements in this way, while also benefitting from professional and collegial relationships that occur before, during and after these meetings.
Are there any other social events hosted by the La Jolla Bar Association?
Yes. Each year we host a summer beach party in August and a holiday party in December. At the annual holiday party, the members have traditionally been asked to bring an unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots program.

Currently we have approximately 100 members.
