January 2019 MCLE Luncheon with Stephanie Reynolds
Our next MCLE lunchtime program will be on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at 12:00 pm at the Manhattan of La Jolla restaurant, within the Empress Hotel at 7766 Fay Avenue.
We are pleased to have attorney STEPHANIE REYNOLDS, partner with Berger, Williams & Reynolds, LLP, as our January speaker. Ms. Reynolds will present “The Effect of the #MeToo Movement on Sexual Harassment in the Workplace and Beyond.”
The program will provide an overview of the #MeToo Movement including: how and why it started; its effect on the number of lawsuits/claims filed alleging sexual harassment (i.e. EEOC data and statistics); it’s effect on employers/companies/executives/boards of directors (trends, concerns, shareholder pressure); and what has been done via enacted and proposed laws to address sexual harassment in the workplace. Ms. Reynolds also intends to weave throughout her presentation some sexual harassment basics regarding California law.
The program will provide 1.0 hr special credit CLE in the subject area, Recognition and Elimination of Bias in the Legal Profession and Society.
