April 9, 2015 MCLE Luncheon-Jessica Taylor, Esq., The Death of California Redevelopment Agencies and the Impact on Public Projects
La Jolla Bar Association MCLE luncheon on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at noon, at the Manhattan Restaurant in downtown La Jolla with Jessica Taylor, Esq.
The La Jolla Bar Association is pleased to have as our speaker Jessica Taylor, Esq., who will present on “The Death of California Redevelopment Agencies and the Impact on Public Projects.”
Jessica Taylor is with the law firm of Allen, Semelsberger & Kaelin, LLP. Jessica is licensed to practice law in both California and Nevada.
As a San Diego native, Jessica attended San Diego State University and graduated in 2005, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, with distinction. Thereafter, she attended William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2008, graduating cum laude.
During her law school career, Jessica was a member of the Dean’s List and won several awards in Advanced Advocacy: Advanced Pleadings and Motions, Trial Advocacy, and Pretrial Litigation.
Prior to joining Endeman Lincoln Turek and Heater, Jessica served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Valorie J. Vega of the Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County, Nevada. She also worked with two prominent Nevada law firms as both a law clerk and an associate attorney.
Jessica’s professional achievements include being named one of Nevada’s “Legal Elite” and recognized as one of the top 150 attorneys in Southern Nevada by Nevada Business Magazine in 2012 and 2014. Jessica was also named a Mountain States “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in 2013 and 2014, and has also received recognition from the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and Nevada Lawyer Magazine for her pro bono community service.
This will be a very informative and interesting program on the “rise and fall” of redevelopment in California. One hour of MCLE credit willbe provided. Please calendar the event, and make every effort to attend. We look forward to seeing you this Thursday, April 9th.
General Information on LJBA Luncheons
The La Jolla Bar Association (LJBA), which is an approved MCLE provider, holds monthly luncheons of its members on the second Thursday of each month, except in August and December, which are reserved for the LJBA Summer Beach Party and the LJBA Holiday Party, respectively. This month’s luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at the Manhattan Restaurant in the historic Empress Hotel on Fay Avenue in downtown La Jolla, commencing at noon.

- Members of the LJBA may attend at no cost, other than the cost of lunch (which they are expected to purchase).
- Non-members may attend for a $20 charge plus the cost of their lunch.
