La Jolla Bar Association, March 2018 MCLE Luncheon with Michael J. Roberts, Esq.

Please calendar Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 12:00 pm for our next MCLE lunchtime program, at the Manhattan of La Jolla restaurant (7766 Fay Avenue – inside the Empress Hotel).

We are very pleased to have MICHAEL J. ROBERTS, Esq. as our speaker for the March lunch meeting. Mr. Roberts, a Neutral with ADR Services, Inc., will give a presentation in the subject area of Mediation, including discussion of effective techniques and strategies for the mediation process. More detailed particulars for this program will follow in further announcement next week.

Mr. Roberts is a full-time mediator and arbitrator of over 25 years and is widely recognized for his expertise and resolve in settling complex and difficult cases in the areas of employment, construction, business, real estate and insurance.
He has served as a mediator and special master in over 4,000 cases with aggregate settlement in excess of $800 million; and received Daily Journal selection as one of California’s Top 50 Mediators in recognition of his accomplishments in mediating major financial controversies, complex multiparty and class action matters.

Mr. Roberts’ primary areas of mediation expertise are Employment; Construction; Business & Commercial; Real Estate; Insurance; Environmental; and Intellectual Property; but his presentation will address considerations applicable to mediation involving any type of dispute.
