Some Information about our speaker:

Mark Birge graduated from Washington State University, and received his Juris Doctorate from Willamette University Law School.   He is a member of the Oregon State Bar and the American Institute of Public Accountants. In addition to being an attorney and certified public accountant, Mark holds specialty credential as a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), which grants the PFS credential only to certified public accountants with significant personal financial planning education and experience.

Early in his career, Mark spent 10 years with a former “Big 8” accounting firm. In 1989, he joined the accounting and consulting firm of Aldrich CPAs+Advisors, LLP (then known as Aldrich Kilbride & Tattone, LLC), where he is a partner.

As the Aldrich firm expanded, Mark pioneered the opening of the firm’s first office outside of Salem, Oregon, into the Portland Metro area. That Portland Metro office has since become Aldrich’s largest office and its current headquarters. In addition to these Oregon offices, the firm has offices in Southern California, in the cities of Carlsbad, Escondido, San Diego, and Pasadena; and in Alaska, in the city of Anchorage.

At Aldrich, Mark provides tax and financial planning services to high-net-worth individuals, businesses and business owners through the firm’s Private Client group. He draws upon his accounting and financial services expertise in estate and succession planning, to provide strategic tax and personal financial planning services to the firms’s clients. He particularly enjoys helping clients identify their overall financial goals and objectives;  advising them as to the estate planning and business succession strategies to be implemented; and helping them achieve those goals through his personal services and his access to a network of professional resources and relationships.

Mark is a frequent speaker to business and professional groups on tax, financial planning, and business succession matters.
