February 2020 MCLE Luncheon at Manhattan Restaurant with Jerry D. Hemme

Please calendar our next MCLE lunchtime program on Thursday February 13th at noon, at the Manhattan of La Jolla restaurant – 7766 Fay Avenue.   

Attorney JERRY D. HEMME our February speaker.  Mr. Hemme will present “CALIFORNIA BOUNDARY LAW:  CRITICAL ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS EVERY PRACTIONER NEEDS TO KNOW,” in which topics including Common boundary law issues; How best to handle boundary disputes; and Practical tips for litigating boundary disputes will be covered.

The program will provide 1.0 hour of MCLE credit.

Some Information about our speaker,
Jerry D.  Hemme:

Jerry D. Hemme is the managing partner and co-founder of San Diego law firm, Goode | Hemme, and has practiced law for nearly 40 years,

Mr. Hemme has an extensive knowledge of Real Estate Law, particularly with Title and Boundary Law issues involving easements, encroachments, trees, fences and water intrusions, among others. Mr. Hemme’s expertise has earned him the recognition of his peers as well as educational institutions. He has served as a lecturer in Boundary Law for the Real Estate Section of the California State Bar, the National Business Institute and the Continuing Education of the Bar.

In addition to his real estate practice, Mr. Hemme is an experienced litigator in business matters, including contract disputes, construction disputes, unfair competition, business torts, fraud claims, collections and creditor rights in bankruptcy.  

Mr. Hemme has an AV® preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell, the leading independent attorney rating entity. He has been recognized by the San Diego Business Journal as one of the Best of the Bar ( 2014 & 2017) in Real Estate; and was named a Top Lawyer in San Diego Magazine (2015-2018).

He obtained his JD degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1981. He is a member of the California State Bar, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of California, the District of Colorado, the Northern District of Texas, and the District of Arizona. Mr. Hemme is also affiliated with ProVisors.

Since 2000, Mr. Hemme has served on the Board of Directors for the Community Campership Council, a local non-profit organization that raises money to send underprivileged San Diego youth to camp. The firm also  supports Second Chance, a non-profit organization which help persons with a criminal history get back on their feet and become productive members of society.

When not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, wine, boating, skiing, hiking, tai chi and woodworking.
