DESCRIPTION:We are very pleased to have as our initial speaker for 2024\, our own bar association member Michael McGowan\, presenting “Suing Goverment Entities in California: Traps for the Unwary.“ \nMike was Deputy City Attorney at the San Diego City Attorney’s Office for over 20 years\, where his practice  emphasis was civil litigation and administrative employment appeals\, and his practice areas were primarily employment law and government liability\, including evaluation and defense of personal injury and tort claims. He now provides service to lawyers and their clients through his own mediation firm\, emphasizing these same areas of law with which he was immersed when at the San Diego City Attorney’s Office (see: Home | Onpoint Mediation Se ). \nThis is certain to be an interesting and insightful program for all of our members\,  and addresses subject matter that our members have requested for some time.  We are very appreciative that Mike will share his knowledge\, expertise and insights with us about this important subject\, about which many lawyers are not familiar.   \nWe hope that all of you can attend this  1.0 hour MCLE credit program.
